blog #2 josey hajek

I am reading "The Bone Yard" by Jefferson Bass. I am on page 223, the sarting page of chapter 7. In this book so far there are two main characters. One of them has a family member comit suicide but she does not think that her sister would kill herself without saying good bye, or something. So Angie calls her friend to come and look into the case with her because he is a forensics scientist and he does stuff like thing every day. They are looking through everything they have to prove she didn't kill her self, that she was infact murdered. At first I thought that this was going to be more entertaining but as it goes on I am starting to like it a little better. I think it has a good story line so far, but it is not intense enough for me. I like that make want to keep reading because I'm scared or worried about the characters in the future. I believe that Jefferson might have wrote this because he had seen a case like this and thought it might make a good book, or maybe something like this happened to him and his family. Or he just be interrested in forensic science. He might have wanted the reader to think about how people are killed every day and sometimes no one will ever be punished for it cause the police did not take a good look at the crime scene. My favorite character at this point is Joanna. Her job is to make a face for any skulls that are found and no one knows who they are. She used to take 3 months but for this certain case it only took a week to make a good recreation. I like her because I would love to do that job, I think it would be so fun. At this piont of the book I am still left woundering if Angies sister really killed herself, or if she was murdered?
