Josey Hajek Blog #3

I am on page 226 of Jefferson Bass's "The Bone Yard". So far in the book I know the main character is Bill Brackton, who owns what is called a body farm. Where students go to study forensics science. Bill is called away when one of his students asks him to help solve case with her. Her name is Angie and the reson she calls him is to help her prove that her sister did not kill herself, she was indeed murdered. She also calls him because he does this kind of stuff everyday. They start to look over all the evidence that the crime scene crew should have gone threw, but did not look close enough to have any proof.
I will say that this book in not turning out the way I thought it was going to. I was hoping for it to have so kind of suspence or action to keep me wanting to read more, even though I am only on chapter 7. I do think it has a good story but it's not action packed like I was hoping for. I will keep reading though becuse I do wounder how Angies sister died.
I believe that Jefferson may have written this book becuase something like this happened to him or a loved one. He might even just be interested in the forensics science feild aswell. Or like some/ most stories they just come to you( they just pop right out of your head. He might want the reader to think about, that stuff like this happens where the cops don't take a close enough look and the persons story will never be told. Lots of people die every day and sometimes you should take a minute and that ther life was just taken from them, they would not have done that to themself.
My favorite character so far is Angie. I like her because even when it felt like the whole world was aginst her, she never stopped. She would not give on her sister like that. She thinks its time for the true story to be told. At this point of the book I am left woundering if her sister killed herself or if she was indeed murdered.
